ABOUT

Hi, I’m Aileen, I am the owner of Beyond Words Therapy! I am a Speech-Language Pathologist certified by American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed in the Province of Manitoba. I earned my Bachelors degree at the University of Manitoba and my Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of North Dakota.

Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with families in Early Intervention as well as early-elementary and school-aged children. This has allowed me to gain experience working with speech sound disorders, language disorders, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), neurodiverse individuals, developmental disorders and more. I also have experience working with adults in the Stroke and Brain Injury Rehabilitation settings.

I strongly believe in working collaboratively with parents, family members, teachers, and other service professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for my clients. My passion for helping individuals become confident communicators developed early on in my career and has only grown stronger over time. I believe in the importance of bridging gaps and guiding individuals towards independence in their communication with friends, family, peers, and the broader community.
